This workshop will discuss the opportunities and resources available to consumers looking to get back into the workforce. Consumer concerns, such as fear of losing Medicaid, SSI and SSDI, will be addressed. Additionally, programs that can allow consumers to keep their benefits and still return to work will be discussed. The purpose of this workshop is to present consumers with an overview of available housing options. You will learn the following: what the eligibility criteria is for low-income housing, including prioritization; what waiting times to expect; completing applications such that you get your apartment as soon as possible; how to keep up with applications once they are accepted; and tips on credit repair.
